Who We Are

The Florida Lions Eye Clinic provides high-quality eye care and sight-restoring treatment to underserved individuals throughout Florida. As a nonprofit organization, FLLEC relies on the generosity of donors, foundations, and grant partners to make its services possible. The Clinic is committed to building partnerships that advance its mission of preserving and restoring sight for those who otherwise could not afford care.

Eligible patients receive comprehensive eye care services at no cost, including eye exams, diagnostic testing, medical treatment, medications, eyeglasses, specialty care, and surgical procedures. The Clinic serves uninsured and underinsured Florida residents with household incomes at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Each year, FLLEC provides more than $3 million in charitable eye care services to over 3,200 patients, including more than 325 sight-restoring surgeries performed. Through compassionate care, early intervention, and access to specialty ophthalmic services, the Clinic helps individuals maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and prevent avoidable vision loss

Healthy eyesight is a basic need, essential to perform some of the most ordinary functions in daily life. With poor eyesight, children’s academic performance is hindered, and adults are far less effective in their jobs or become unemployed. Giving the Gift of Sight is what inspires the Clinic’s leadership team.
